October is traditionally the time for us to reconnect with the Ukrainian community of brilliant software developers. We were especially pleased to see that the 3rd annual edition of Annual Ukrainian ISV Conference attracted more speakers and visitors alike, while preserving its friendly, family-like atmosphere. We were happy to reconnect with our Ukrainian friends and update each other on our accomplishments of the past year.
The event traditionally started with the PayPro Beer Party, which took place at the famous Czech restaurant in the center of Kiev, which bears the name of the legendary Czech-Jewish character - Golem. Just as the legend says, Golem did a great job by treating us with freshly brewed beer and delicious Czech dishes.
The conference itself traditionally took place in one of Hotel Verhovina’s conference halls. We were delighted by the presentations of our guests, which covered new product concepts, as well as insights on marketing and legal aspects of the Business of Software.
The bravest speaker this time was Alex Pavlenko, CEO of Maniac Tools. His presentation opened the conference with his new product - Time Inspector, which is an innovative employee time management tool.
Our CEO, Meir Amzallag, was the second speaker and he offered the first sneak peek of our brand new CloudCommerce platform. it is of course not an accident we presented our new platform for the first time in Kiev. The Annual Ukrainian ISV Conference was founded as a platform to connect with our most trusted partners and friends in a relaxed atmosphere. The feedback we got from our guests on our current most important project was beyond our expectations and now we can rest assured that we are on the right track to meet our partners’ most sophisticated demands. The CloudCommerce platform will become available to the general public in the near future. You, our readers will be the first to gain access to it and take advantage of the entirely new set of innovative features to sell software, SaaS and cloud products.
The conference continued with a presentation from Mykola Rudenko, Co-Founder and CTO at Appvisor and our co-sponsor of the event. He presented a new social feature in the Appvisor PAD publishing platform, which allows to increase product virality and ultimately increase sales. The product beta will be released next month.
At some point, the conference format has changed and it was transformed into a discussion on legal aspects and tax planning for software and SaaS companies led by Tatiana Vasiljeva, Founder and Managing Partner of AVA Legal.
After a lunch, we were delighted by the keynote from Yuri Bakay on differences between sales and marketing in software business.
Yuri was followed by Vladimir Katalov with his presentation on Efficient Marketing.
The presentations ended with a round table on the topic “How you started your business”, where we heard captivating stories on where it all began for every one of us.
The conference ended with a traditional banquet which lasted till late at night. But whatever happened there, should stay there :)
